 I'm Allison Costlow, the founder of The Poppy Pen—a studio specializing in calligraphy, engraving, and live event painting based in New York City and Connecticut.

Before falling in love with calligraphy, I worked in auction houses and museums in New York City and Chicago and received my master’s degree in design history from The Cooper-Hewitt Museum and Parson's The New School. This background has given me a unique and deep understanding of artistic styles and exceptional customer service in the luxury market. 

At The Poppy Pen, I combine my design history expertise with a unique artistic touch to create tailored experiences for luxury brands looking for on-site artists for their activations.
